The faculty mourns the passing of Professor Dr. Kurt Heißig, who died on April 2, 2026 at the age of 85.

We mourn the passing of Professor Dr. Kurt Heißig, born December 17, 1941, died April 02, 2026.
Professor Dr. Kurt Heißig was an outstanding and internationally recognized teacher and researcher in the field of vertebrate palaeontology. We will remember him as a highly esteemed colleague. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family.
